About the Role

As the Quality Coordinator, you will safely and effectively deliver ISO 9001 processes to our operating environment, ensuring the customers remain a focus through investigation and resolution of complaints, and ensuring sales be urgently undertaken for material that does not conform to customer expectations.

This role will work closely with the Supervisors – Packaging, Supervisor - Laboratory, SI – Logistics, Marketing, ISO certification vendors and SIs – Production.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Managing the quality systems in Kwinana – including ISO 9001.  This includes:
    • Monitoring and reporting on Quality activities, processes and procedures
    • Reviewing quality related documentation on behalf of users and Quality Auditors
    • Developing internal auditing tools and conducting internal audits and reports
    • Scheduling and co-ordinating internal and external Quality Audits
    • Supporting Kwinana teams with regulatory and quality training, and quality planning advice
  • Participation in the Marketing/Integrated Planning meetings.
  • Management of customer enquiries – including arrangement of samples, bag quality, audit questionnaires, new customer information packs and associated information.
  • Management and resolution of customer complaints, including investigations, 5 whys, leading to improvement initiatives and developing data driven solutions to issues in conjunction with the process owners
  • Meeting Field leadership KPI’s and BOS systems targets
  • Regular feedback for Co-Ordinator packaging, laboratory and Supervisors to ensure effective flow of communication to the packaging teams around quality expectations
  • Contacting marketing regularly for urgent sale of material not meeting quality specifications

About You

As the successful applicant you will possess the following: 

  • ASQ certification, eg ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor (Quality Management System Training)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Planning and problem solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence others to achieve goals
  • Experience working with Quality Systems or laboratory background
