Roster: 14 Days On / 14 Days Off | FIFO ex Perth or Residential

Fortescue is seeking a motivated and solutions-focused Rail Maintenance Coordinator to join our Rail Network Maintenance team based in Port Hedland on an attractive 14/14 roster. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating maintenance activities that support safe and uninterrupted rail operations across our world-class network.

Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you’ll partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and contractors to ensure maintenance activities are planned, executed, and delivered to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating integrated weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance plans
  • Supporting safe and efficient execution of planned and reactive maintenance works
  • Managing track access, resources, contractors, and maintenance scheduling
  • Delivering accurate asset condition reporting, defect tracking, and KPI performance updates
  • Supporting compliance with ONRSR, RISSB, and Fortescue safety management requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance processes and asset reliability
  • Assisting emergency response and recovery activities during operational incidents

Qualifications and Experience

 

What We’re Looking For...

 

You’re a highly organised maintenance professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and operational excellence. Ideally, you will bring:

 

  • Experience within rail, heavy industry, infrastructure, or maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of rail systems including track, signalling, civil, or rollingstock fundamentals
  • Exposure to CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP, Ellipse, or Maximo
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement capability
  • A commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment
