About the Role
- Provide schedule and unplanned maintenance to the Railway Track through the Western Australia Pilbara Region.
- Inspect and Audit the performance of infrastructure and maintenance outcomes to ensure quality and professional/technical standards.
- Determine Track conditions and apply suitable restrictions.
- Provide technical advice to support Track Execution within the teams.
- Report to the Track Inspector Supervisor ensuring that Maintenance activities are compliant and consistent.
- Ensure that work sites are maintained in a clean and safe working condition.
- Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable the crews to work safely.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementation of new initiatives in a constructive way.
About You
- Current full West Australian “C” class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license.
- Track Inspection Certification and competency (preferred)
- Non-destructive testing (desirable)
- Certificate 3 Rail Infrastructure
- Hi Rail (LV) competency (preferred)
- Welder (Flashbutt / Aluminothermic) or demonstrated knowledge of welding process (desirable)
- Strong Leadership and people management skills
- Proven commitment to safety
- Computer literacy in Microsoft office suite and computerized maintenance management systems
- Excellent communication and people skills with a strong focus on employee engagement
- Demonstrated ability to plan work, allocate resources and monitor progress
- Attention to detail and complex problem solving ability
- Ability to make the right choice under pressure and during conflict
