Role Details

• Location: Olympic Dam mine, SA
• 8:6 roster (every 3rd rotation will be a week of Night Shift)
• DIDO from Roxby Downs SA
• FIFO - flights covered from Capital Cities

About the Role

Raise bore drillers who will be responsible for maintaining and improvement of electrical systems across mobile drilling fleet, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring safety and compliance with electrical standards
• Fault-finding and trouble shooting
• Reading drawings and schematics
• Preventative maintenance
• Planned monthly maintenance on all Drill rigs
• Quarterly test tagging
• Responsible for upkeep of workspace and stock areas

What You’ll Bring

• Australian Recognised trade qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology ) or equivalent.
• Experience with Raise Bore drill rigs & associated equipment  (e.g. Robbins, Dresser, Atlas Copco/Epiroc, Herrenknecht, Aggreko generators).Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Experience with underground or surface drilling equipment.
• Valid manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence (Mandatory).
• Working at Heights, High Risk Forklift Ticket and First Aid (Essential), dogging & rigging (desirable).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Exceptional record keeping and time management
• Detailed knowledge of underground mining and safety regulations.
