About the Role
Join Rio Tinto’s Fixed Plant Electrical team as a Refrigeration Maintainer, responsible for maintaining HVAC-R systems across our Tom Price operations. This role ensures the safety, comfort, and reliability of critical infrastructure supporting our workforce.About UsWe prioritize the maximization of asset value through effective asset management practices. Our team is dedicated to delivering safe outcomes and sustainable physical assets through efficient application of our asset management strategy and business plans.Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair refrigeration, chillers and air-conditioning systems across site.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on critical assets.
Operate mobile and lifting equipment safely.
Use SAP and work management systems for task tracking.
Promote and uphold Rio Tinto’s safety culture.
Support continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.
What You'll Bring
Certificate III in Mechanical Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
Full Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Licence
(Optional) Restricted Electrical Licence
WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (Manual); HR Licence preferred
High-Risk Work Licences (Forklift LF, EWP) desirable
Experience in mine site HVAC-R systems maintenance
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Leadership and mentoring capabilities
Proficiency in SAP and building management systems
Commitment to safety and compliance
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
