About the Role Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18-hole golf course. This role is a permanent position at Leinster offering a 7/7 roster days only FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician to maintain all air conditioning equipment onsite by following the maintenance programs we have in place and where ever possible make changes to the system that improve the standard and or make the workplace safer to use and work in. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment such as ball mill cooling system and other assets
• Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
• Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
• Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation
• Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour
• Monitor the Site Services Maintenance work plan and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Supervisor
• Perform all aspects of planned, breakdown and shutdown activities in regard to Site Services maintenance
• Carry out system generated on and offline inspections

About You As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:  

• Demonstrated experience with maintenance of residential or commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning
• Experience maintaining ball mill cooling systems and other mining equipment is advantageous
• Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Trade Qualification
• Valid Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
• ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
• WA Restricted Electrical Licence
• Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space ticket are desirable 
• Computer Literacy to use the following systems - 1SAP, Fiori, MS Excel and Word 
• A proven track record of safety management 
• Must be able to work at a high standard autonomously
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
