Refrigeration Technician (Non-Process Infrastructure)
Work Location: Hedland Operations - Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or Residential
Reporting to the NPI Maintenance Supervisor, Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Refrigeration Technician to join the Infrastructure Services team at Port and Rail. This permanent full-time position will be required to perform duties throughout the site as necessary.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Complete statutory service reports, scope work, identify parts requirements and complete installations
- Carry out refrigeration servicing, repairs and inspection on all equipment at Fortescue’s operations
- Provide safe, effective and timely refrigeration maintenance
- Schedule maintenance and breakdown fault finding on a wide range of infrastructure equipment
- Liaise with the planning team to ensure planned maintenance schedule is implemented
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Fortescue’s Safety policy and procedures and in line with relevant Australian Standards
Qualifications and skills required:
- Refrigeration Trade Certificate
- Restricted Electrical licence or equivalent
- ARCtick Refrig Handling licence RAC01
- At least 3 year’s post trade work experience
- Mining/heavy industry experience
- Ability to communicate across multiple departments with a commitment to service
- Current C Class Drivers licence
