Clermont Open Cut, a Glencore Operation, is currently seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Health & Wellbeing Coordinator to join and support our team of professionals on site. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high-performance outcomes. Reporting to the Health Safety & Training Manager, this role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

Requirements of the role include:
Assist with the development and implementation of health and hygiene annual plan and systems to comply with legal and company requirements
Provide on the ground support for health and hygiene projects and initiatives.
Developing and implementing site hygiene monitoring and fitness for work programs.
Managing workers compensation and rehabilitation processes
Demonstrate a highly visible on-site presence and commitment to the implementation of HST policies, strategy, standards, systems, processes and interactions
Maintain and continually improve systems, ensuring regular health and hygiene audits are conducted in all operational areas of the mine
Requirements for the role include:
Possess a thorough understanding of Queensland statutory obligations relevant to workplace health and safety.
Hold a Certificate IV in workplace health and safety at a minimum.
Hold a certificate in rehabilitation coordination and previous experience with workers compensation cases.
Able to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
You are a team player with a high level of health, hygiene and safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and willingness to contribute to a winning team.
Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills
Queensland drivers’ licence
This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
