Reliability Engineer
Work Location: Eliwana
- Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama & Pinikura (PKKP) People.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
We are seeking a reliability engineer with a strong focus on conveyors who has extensive fixed plant experience in a mining environment
Key responsibilities include:
- Maximize conveyor reliability by identifying areas for improvement and executing improvement projects where required
- Managing conveyor component upgrades and trial new products and technology
- Closely monitoring conveyor belt wear and upgrading belt specifications to align with change out strategies.
- Improve mean time between failures of pulleys
- Complete QA/QC activities on conveyor maintenance such as belt spicing, pulley alignments etc
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations into plant downtime events
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering
- Experience in fixed plant ore processing
- Experience in similar roles where Conveyors have been a key focus.
- Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus
- Excellent problem solving a continual improvement focus
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
