ABOUT IMC

Illawarra Metallurgical Coal produces premium-quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent full-time position based at the Appin mine, which is near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW and approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.

As the Reliability Engineer, you will provide technical support and expertise to the operations, maintenance, and projects teams.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Deliver service to mine sites in accordance with the FY Business Plan Goals, Strategic Asset Management Plan(SAMP) and Reliability KPIs by providing technical expertise to site maintenance and projects personnel
• Participate in the Defect Elimination Processes to facilitate downtime analysis to develop improvement plans to address identified defects to improve operational performance.

• Build and maintain asset maintenance strategies for all assets within the operational area of responsibility using RCM and FMECA approach and perform analysis of conditioning monitoring data acquired from the implementation of the maintenance strategies to address emerging risks to asset performance.
• Develop and update Lifecycle Management Plans(AMPs) and associated work/strategy management systems to maintain compliance with the IMC asset management system. This includes consideration of impacts from the Life of Operation Plan(LoOP), Mine Plan, CAPEX, OPEX, and Asset Integrity/Condition.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Asset management expertise in resources industry including FMECA/RCM facilitation
• ICAM and Apollo Root Cause Analysis
• Project risk, change and contract management
• Advanced 1SAP, Excel and OnePM experience desirable
• Experience working in mining operations underground coal environment desirable

Qualifications for this position are:

• Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
