Reliability Engineer
Work Location: Eliwana. Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 4:3 OR 8:6 FIFO ex Perth
Role overview:
Fortescue is looking for an energetic, forward thinking Reliability Engineer to join the team at the new Eliwana Ore Processing Facility. This is an exciting role within the Engineering & Reliability Team directly reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer
Your role will be to provide technical support using initiatives and applying reliability engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate strong safety values and a willingness to be active in enhancing our team safety culture
- Assist with the development of key metrics and reporting systems to capture plant and equipment performance
- Optimization of maintenance tactics and strategies
- Optimization of equipment spares holdings
- Audit lubrication practices and drive improvement initiatives
- Review and report on plant and equipment reliability to ensure the Engineering team are focused on the correct issues
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations into plant downtime events
- Liaison with relevant departments to provide technical solutions
Qualification and Experience:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering
- Experience in fixed plant ore processing
- Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations
- Demonstrated track record of problem solving and solution implementation in a multi-discipline team based environment
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large scale processing plant
- Apollo Root Cause Analysis or equivalent training is preferred
