About the role
This is a permanent part-time job share opportunity, working 3 days per week, Monday-Wednesday.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Asset Management & Reliability, you will provide technical support and expertise to the operations maintenance and projects teams.
Key accountabilities:
- Deliver service to mine sites in accordance with the Asset Management and Reliability Service Level Agreement (SLA) by providing technical expertise to site maintenance and project personnel
- Following Defect Elimination Processes, facilitate downtime investigation in accordance with defined trigger levels to determine root cause and contributing factors. Develop action plans to address identified defects to prevent re-occurrence.
- Participate in improvement projects to deliver business plan goals related to cost reduction, production improvement and / or equipment reliability.
- Monitor repairable component wear & failure modes to develop cost/reliability improvement strategies
- Perform group level analysis of conditioning monitoring data, initiate maintenance strategies and/or changes to strategies to address emerging risks
- Developing and updating Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and associated work/strategy management systems to maintain compliance with the IMC asset management system.
- Develop and maintain equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operational area of responsibility through RCM and FMECA studies
- Create / Review / approve 1SAP Master Data change requests in line with maintenance strategies and content quality requirements
About you

In addition, you will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
- Asset Management expertise in resource industry including FMECA/ RCM facilitation
- ICAM and Apollo Root Cause Analysis
- Project, Risk, Change and Contract management
- Advanced 1SAP & Excel, OnePM experience desirable
- Experience working in mining operations underground coal environment desirable
- Experience in introducing and/or modifying assets and infrastructure in the Heavy Engineering Industry including provision of technical services to brownfield and greenfield capital projects
- Demonstrated ability to select, develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, diversity and organisational capability
Location
This position will be based at the Appin mine which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
