ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to Superintendent – Asset Management, this role is responsible for plant reliability, and ensuring asset performance aligns with current and future operational requirements.

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.  As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.  

Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Review failure data, conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and system wide analysis to develop practical maintenance strategies to enhance operation reliability.
• Practice and drive root cause failure analysis, collaboratively across the site.
• Review spare parts criticality analysis and kitting of store spare parts
• Review and improve total cost of ownership models in order to identify low reliability, high maintainability assets and initiate improvement projects where required.
• Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance and updating of asset care plans, corrective task lists and work instruction for assets.

ABOUT YOU

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a technical role in mineral processing, oil and gas or power generation/distribution sector.  Experience with fixed plant highly regarded.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborated with multiple smaller groups of internal stakeholders on middle management level.
