About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Reliability Engineer at Nelson Point/Finucane Island in Port Hedland, we are looking for 2 reliability engineers to join the team. In each of these positions the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
Responsibilities within this role include:
- Tracking production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and identify improvement opportunities
- Managing risk to the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality and production
- Working closely with the project engineering team to ensure adherence to the life cycle asset management process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets
- Supporting operation and maintenance in managing and troubleshooting for the Fixed Plant Equipment
About You
To be successful in either of these positions, you will be an enthusiastic, driven and Degree qualified (Mechanical Engineering) Individual with highly developed written and verbal communication skills. You are a valued team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others in order to deliver key outcomes focused around safety, process optimisation, improvements and down time elimination.
In addition, exposure to the following would be highly advantageous:
- High level understanding of RCA methodologies and their application.
- Understanding of FMECA / FMEA and its application.
- Understanding of Work Management Budget development
- Understanding of Project management skills
- Understanding of 6-Sigma and lean manufacturing application
- Understanding of Delay Accounting and 1SAP work management processes and systems
- Knowledge and experience with fixed plant equipment such as Shiploaders, Stackers, Lump rescreening plants, Conveyors and Conveyor drives.
- Knowledge and experience in Fixed plant chutes, load boots, skirt lines, and deflectors and ceramic wear plates.
Location
Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO villages include; a fully equipped gym, TV lounge and games rooms. All rooms at the villages have their own en-suite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
