About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance and joining an inclusive and high performing team, the Reliability / Project Engineer plays an integral role in achieving long-term, measurable improvements in safety, performance and efficiency of our Fixed Plant. This is role will be based at Muswellbrook working Monday to Friday, offering flexible working arrangements, and is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, supportive and inclusive team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing safety and improvement projects;
  • Monitoring and analysis of equipment defects and maintenance downtime to define department priorities and metrics;
  • Lead Reliability-centred maintenance best practice through the application of Defect Elimination processes, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys and Failure Mode Effect Cause Analysis;
  • Provide technical support and recommendations based on Root Cause Analysis and benchmarking findings;
  • Develop and implement asset strategies for new equipment;
  • Analyse equipment life cycles and determine asset capability based on the 2 year Production plan, providing input into the development of the capital and operational budget for the area.

About You

To be successful in the role, candidates should demonstrate a team-oriented mindset and solution focused attitude. You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Project management qualifications;
  • Operational knowledge of Mining Equipment;
  • Proficiency in 1SAP maintenance components preferable;
  • Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units and functional areas.
