About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, you will be focused on delivering technical expertise to support industry leading equipment strategies.

In this role you will provide guidance and technical expertise to optimise maintenance strategies and improve the fleets performance. 

This role will be Monday-Friday (with flexibility) and is based at our Mt Arthur Coal site in Muswellbrook. 

BHP can provide domestic relocation support to enable you to reside in the stunning local Hunter Valley region.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Provide input into the maintenance budget of earth moving equipment
  • Identifying potential risks to the asset and the business
  • Monitoring and analysis of earth moving equipment performance for the optimisation and governance of maintenance strategies, taking into consideration the full life cycle of the assets
  • Defect elimination through the application of best practice problem solving tools and techniques (RCA, 5 Whys etc).
  • Provide technical support and recommendations through findings from data analysis and engagement with internal and external stakeholders including original equipment manufacturers and maintainers.

About You

You will have a customer focus, are logical and analytical in your mind-set with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.  The ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers to deliver the best for business solutions.

You will also have:

  • Understanding of reliability and asset management principles
  • Hold a tertiary or trade qualification in maintenance and or engineering
  • Proficiency in SAP, preferable
  • Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels of business units & functional areas
