We currently have a vacancy for a Reliability Technician to work within the Copper Smelter – Asset Reliability & Maintenance Department. This is a hands-on, residential role, based in Mount Isa, reporting to the Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer – Copper smelter. The roster worked for this position is 4 On 3 Off, with flexible rosters during shutdowns. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Management of condition monitoring strategy of the copper smelter fixed and rotating plants.
• Assist implementation of site condition monitoring program relevant to vibration analysis, Lubrication Oil analysis and other asset health monitoring methods.
• Provide feedback on the operational status of the critical assets
• Implementation of Lubrication Oil management including stock / inventory control, execute lubrication work packs.
• Ensuring safe work behaviours for yourself and your team
• Support and execute reliability projects for asset condition improvement objectives.

• Trade qualification or significant hands-on experience on lubrication work pack execution on fixed plant. 
• Minimum of three years’ experience in mining or heavy industries related to condition monitoring.
• Relevant skill training on Lubrication methodologies, vibration analysis, other asset health monitoring tech would be advantage.
• SAP based CMMS exposure would be an advantage
• Experience in fixed plant environment (static and rotating assets) would be an advantage.
