To strengthen this team, we are looking for a Renewable Energy and power decarbonization Sr. Analyst to support the procurement and delivery of renewable energy and power decarbonization solutions in the US and Latin America, as well as support similar efforts globally. This position is based in the United States or Australia and reports through to the General Manager of Renewable Energy Projects. Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the structuring assessment, negotiation and delivery of renewable energy and decarbonization procurement projects, including PPAs
- Lead the feasibility and assessment of renewable energy solutions for our sites and projects globally
- End-to-end in-house renewable energy project development (wind, solar, storage)
- Development of relevant investment cases and management of project delivery
- Support in identification and assessment of industry and other partners and stakeholders, and negotiation to deliver best-in-class renewable energy outcomes across our assets (IPPs, EPC, OEM and suppliers, utilities, grid operators, developers)
- Work with grid and utility services teams to ensure seamless project integration in micro-grids
- Partner with the business on options analysis, both quantitative and qualitative
- Provision of accurate and timely assessment of development issues, risks, and opportunities
You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic team with considerable deliverables. This position will suit an experienced individual who takes responsibility for their own work and will actively support the team around them.
What you’ll bring
- Background in analysis, assessment and management of complex project development contracts and related business issues
- Knowledge of project and infrastructure finance is a plus
- Passionate about renewable energy and sustainability
- Knowledge of PPA structures
- A highly motivated self-starter who can drive the business forward, you will have a strong history of delivering business objectives
- Ability to interact and build relationships with a variety of cross-disciplinary stakeholders
- Strong analysis and presentation skills and proficiency in MS Excel and MS PPT
The intention of this role is to deliver alongside the Product Groups a meaningful renewable energy generation capacity, working closely with the Renewable Energy Projects team and the wider group.
