About the role

We are looking for a Resource Officer to undertake and complete parts supply for scheduled work at our Gove Operations.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who has prior experience in a warehouse operation, can successfully multi-task, has good SAP knowledge and operates in a manner where safety is paramount. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, and working a 9 Day fortnight roster you will:

· Participate in daily operational meetings, providing updates on parts availability, logistics, and maintenance support activities.

· Coordinate the receipt, storage, consolidation, and delivery of parts and materials to support planned and unplanned maintenance work.

· Support shutdown execution by compiling and staging parts against work orders to ensure efficient maintenance delivery.

· Manage purchasing and repair processes, including raising purchase requisitions, tooling repairs, and off-site repair activities.

· Process parts returns, credits, remanufactured component tracking, and inventory-related transactions.

· Liaise with warehouses, suppliers, and freight providers to expedite urgent deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.

· Maintain stock holdings, consumables, and storage facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy and availability of critical materials.

What you’ll bring

· A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

· Forklift licence and experience with operating a forklift

· A manual C Class Driver Licence

· Prior experience working in a warehouse site operation with a good safety record (highly desirable)

· Good problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement

It will also be beneficial if you have:

· Exposure to site operations or relevant materials management qualifications

· HR Licence

· Knowledge of SAP, particularly the Warehousing module

· Excel knowledge

· A sound knowledge of parts supply or warehousing

Where you’ll be working

Our Gove Operations have been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for more than 40 years. Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, the operation produces approximately 12 million tonnes of bauxite annually.

With a workforce of 460 people, daily activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, shutdown planning and execution, export operations, cultural heritage management, and closure activities following the 2017 decision to close the site’s alumina refinery.

The operation plays a critical role in Rio Tinto’s aluminium supply chain and is supported by a diverse and skilled workforce committed to safety, respect and operational excellence.
