Reverse Logistics & Inventory Controller

Join Emeco’s dynamic mining services team and play an integral role in maintaining the smooth flow of inventory and logistics operations.

 We’re looking for a Reverse Logistics & Inventory Controller to join our team and take ownership of the return flow of goods, back freight and core inventory.

This is a hands-on coordination role, and you’ll work closely with our Distribution Centre, Logistics, Inventory and site teams to ensure returned materials and cores are accurately tracked, processed and returned to the right place at the right time.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of the back freight and core return process, including:

• Coordinating back freight arriving at the Distribution Centre and ensuring it is processed promptly.

• Identifying, inspecting and processing returned cores and components.

• Tracking outstanding returns and following them through to completion.

• Maintaining accurate inventory and return information within our ERP/WMS.

• Reconciling physical stock movements against system records and investigating discrepancies.

• Following up missing freight, incomplete information, incorrect transactions and outstanding returns.

• Working with sites, warehouse, logistics and inventory teams to resolve issues rather than simply passing them on.

• Supporting the timely processing of supplier returns and credits to maximise recovery of value.

• Identifying recurring issues in the return process and helping improve how back freight and cores are managed.

• Ensuring freight and returns are handled safely and in accordance with operational requirements.

What You’ll Bring to the role:

• Experience with inventory control, stock movements, freight, returns, parts or component management.

• Strong systems capability and confidence working in an ERP or warehouse management system; D365 experience would be advantageous.

• The ability to reconcile information and identify when physical stock, paperwork and system records don't match.

• A persistent approach to following up outstanding items and getting issues closed out.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate where something has gone wrong in the process.

• Confidence dealing with different stakeholders and asking the right questions to get missing information.

• The ability to prioritise a changing workload in a busy operational environment without losing track of outstanding actions.

• An understanding that timely processing matters and strong attention to detail.

• The ability to work independently, while knowing when an issue needs to be escalated.

• Willingness to contribute and support the warehouse team.
