Safety Specialist 

Work Location: Perth

  • Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday - Part-time rosters would be considered for the right applicant. 

As the Specialist Safety in our Fortescue corporate team you will provide technical safety advice, lead safety improvement projects for the business.  Reporting to the Senior Manager Health and Safety, you will be empowered to manage your strategic projects and work across the business to deliver change and safety improvements.  Working across sites and functions on best practice initiatives, WHS legislation compliance, workforce coaching and support. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of strategic safety improvements. 
  • Support the delivery and maintenance of corporate Fortescue Safety procedures and processes. 
  • Identify and lead safety improvements across the fortescue business. 
  • Work with sites and function to identify and respond proactively to safety trends and opportunities. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A strong team player. 
  • Experience managing projects and leading change across a business. 
  • You will be tertiary qualified in Safety. 
  • A minimum of 5 years Health & Safety experience in projects or operations.
