Finance Systems Specialist 

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday - Friday 

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced SAP FICO resource to join the Finance Systems team to work with the international operations of FMG. 

Reporting to the Manager Financial Systems and based in our Perth office, you will be supporting the FFI teams with their rollout of various projects in SAP S/4 HANA. This includes supporting the rollout of companies, enhancements to current systems and processes and providing on-going support. 

Your focus will be on improving processes and providing support to both the international and domestic operations. Functions include communicating with key stakeholders across the business to gather and document requirements, analysis of processes and controls, conducting integration testing, SAP FICO support and user training. You will need to have a SAP FICO consulting background with strong communication skills.

Key Accountabilities 

• Analysis of Accounting System processes, functional gaps, and reporting requirements
• Document new business requirements
• Maintenance of Finance Organisation Structures and Master data
• Controlling Finance Systems Governance and ensuring on-going compliance with policies and procedures
• Support Production Costing and Profitability reporting
• Plan, conduct and sign off integration Testing and provide test cases that are required during the development and UAT stage
• Support the Integration from other modules of SAP and related Invoice and Planning systems such as Kofax ReadSoft and Anaplan
• International Country Tax localisations for banking, withholding tax and GST reporting
• Provide user training as required

Qualifications, experience and skills required:

• Minimum of 5 years consulting experience in SAP process design and configuration, testing and documentation in the FICO area with a good understanding of the integration to other SAP modules such as SD, MM/Ariba/Concur, HRSF, GRC and PP.
• Consulting or support experience should ideally include:
  • SAP S/4 Public Cloud
  • SAP Country Localisation, Tax Jurisdictions
  • SAP integration with and support of Tax Engines (e.g., Thomson Reuters or VERTEX) for indirect tax calculation
  • SAC SAP Analytics Cloud and MS Analysis
• Excellent communication skills, including creation of user documentation, technical specifications, and test scripts.
• Well-developed analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• SAP Finance certification is preferred
