The Telfer Gold Mine is located in the Great Sandy Desert in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia and produces copper and gold. Macmahon commenced its operations at the Telfer mine site in February 2016 and is delivering the surface drill and blast, load and haul, mobile maintenance.
Reporting to Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for organising the safe, efficient, accurate and cost effective maintenance scheduling of the mobile plant equipment.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling preventative maintenance tasks at agreed intervals using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS);
- Prioritising planned and unplanned maintenance tasks and ensure all labour and materials are available and correctly costed to respective assets;
- Developing and supporting the short range scheduling of maintenance activities including major and minor components for mobile equipment;
- Maintaining and updating records of maintenance costs and plant history;
- Validating and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance programs to include equipment inspection sheets, inspection intervals to maintain equipment reliability, preventive maintenance check sheets for all mobile plant equipment;
- Liaising with the Macmahon Central Planning team to facilitate collaboration and productive relationships to enhance maintenance strategies
- Analysing failure to meet targets and conduct root cause analysis ensuring appropriate correction actions are applied; and
- Assisting in the determination of spare parts and consumables stock levels for all mobile equipment in the mine operations.
About you:
- Well established experience in a similar role working with heavy mobile equipment maintenance, preferably in an open cut mining environment;
- Holding relevant trade or tertiary qualification;
- Exposure to various computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS);
- Great interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
