About the role
We have an exciting opportunity in the RL&O Yard Scheduling team as a Yard Scheduler – Train Control. Working an attractive 3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 off roster at the Operations Centre in Perth you will be reporting through to the Production Supervisor of Train Control Scheduling.
You will be responsible for:
- Reporting daily on key yard KPI’s, with focus on performance, resource allocation and maintenance compliance in the daily department meeting
- Coordinate yard rail operations in consultation with Train Control and the production supervisors 7M/CL to ensure efficient yard operations
- Communicate priority of movements throughout the shift to Train Control for execution
- Coordination and delivery of scheduled wagons and locomotives for maintenance
- Coordinate Yard track maintenance as per the daily obstruction
- Coding of daily obstruction execution compliance
- Participate in 6hr planning meetings with CL/7M/IOS to build the 6hr execution plan
- Recording of all production delays
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will ideally have yard rail experience, coupled with scheduling experience.
You will be self-motivated and have the ability to learn multiple software applications. Your proven ability to prioritise workloads and demands along with being able to work respectfully with people at all levels will see you succeed in this role.

This role will be based at our state-of-the-art Operations Centre, near the Perth airport, operating a family friendly roster of 3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 days off.
