About the role

We are looking for a Divisional Secretary to join the Greater Hope Downs team. This role will support the General Manager as well as the broader management team with a primary focus on supporting legislative requirements across the sites
Your role will entail:
- Provision of administrative and secretarial services to the division and leadership team
- Correspondence and coordinator on legal processes with DMIRS
- Booking travel and preparing itineraries – site visits and international trips. Organising meetings, events & workshops & conferences
- Working effectively with other administrative roles to ensure efficient and effective operation and communications within the division
- Divisional communication and engagement activities, collating business presentations and preparation of correspondence, reports and agendas
- Raising purchase orders and processing invoices for payment. Managing credit card expense reports
- Designing and managing divisional events such as Christmas parties, leadership dinners, service award functions
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Experience as a Department Secretary
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Process driven and disciplined work ethics
- The ability to problem solve, prioritise, multi-task and have a flexible working approach
- Advanced MS office skills, MS Outlook, Word and MS PowerPoint
- Certificate in business administration or similar whilst not essential, will be well-regarded

Located 100km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 1 offers an 8/6 roster and is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 4.
