Operations near and far

Our Cadia site is located in Central West New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional town of Orange and three hours’ drive from Sydney. Employees reside in the varied accommodation options in Orange, with the surrounding winery and national park areas to enjoy.

Employees have access to the area’s wide range of amenities, including a prominent health sector, excellent educational facilities, shopping, transport and other services such as childcare.

Who we’re looking for

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Advisor to join our Health and Safety Team based at Cadia during an exciting period of transformation. Reporting to the Supervisor - Security & Access you will be accountable for ensuring a safe and secure environment for contractors and employees by enforcing both the site rules and site regulations.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing the contracted site Security provider and activities across Cadia Valley Operations
  • Ensuring that all employees, contractors, and visitors are compliant with Security Standards
  • Investigations of Security related events including theft and unauthorised trespass
  • Responding to various site alarms
  • Operating computer-based monitoring systems including CCTV surveillance

To succeed in this role, you will have a passion and desire to uphold high safety standards and be team orientated, as demonstrated by your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

In addition, you will ideally also have:

  • Certificate 2 in Security Operations and hold a Security Licence (1A, 1E)
  • Experience in managing a security team, preferably within the mining sector.
  • Understanding of the Gallagher and CyberAudit Security Systems
  • The ability to develop and implement security procedures to ensure protection of company assets 
  • A manual Drivers Licence

Please note: This is a permanent fulltime role based at our Cadia operation in NSW. You will be required to work a 5 days on/2 off roster, Monday to Friday.
