About the Role
The Olympic Dam Security team presents an exciting opportunity for a new member to join us as Security & Emergency Management Specialist. This is not a traditional Security role; we are seeking an individual with diverse skillsets and the ability to:
- Respond to sensitive incidents within our villages and provide a caring and compassionate service to impacted persons, including referral to BHP Health and EAP services
- Read, interpret and apply policies and procedures
- Contribute to the Security Document Framework through creation of quality Work Instructions and Procedures
- Regularly communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
- Be an in-field leader, assisting the Supervisor to coordinate daily task allocations and escalating matters to the Security Supervisor when required
- Perform routine security duties
- Relieve the Security & Emergency Management Control Room Operator role when required.
This position is based at Olympic Dam and is offered on a 7:7 roster (days & nights) either FIFO from Adelaide or residential in Roxby Downs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold an SA Security Licence, or willing to obtain
- Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence
- Strong written communication, particularly in using Microsoft Office programs
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service
- Be self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Work well as part of a team
- Maintain confidentiality in relation to all security incidents and emergencies and
- Be prepared to undertake additional training relating to wellbeing and incident control.
