Security Officer

Work Location: Hedland Operations; Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Role overview:

The function of this position is to ensure the safety of the Hedland Operation residents and security of the site maintained. The position requires excellent communication and time management skills, together with high levels of language, literacy, numeracy and computer skills to ensure tasks are completed and documented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documenting and monitoring Journey Management Plans
• Conduct Drug & Alcohol testing as required
• Investigating, documenting and submitting incident reports
• Monitoring access and egress of site as well as CCTV
• Documenting daily activities through an operational report
• Printing and updating site access cards

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Certificate II Security Operations
• Remote mining or port Security experience
• Current Security Licence
• Current Crowd Controller Licence
• RightCrowd experience
• Drug & Alcohol Testing qualification and current First Aid (preferred)
