About the Role

We currently have a number of positions for talented and capable Security Supervisors for our growing WA Iron Ore (WAIO) Operations. These highly exciting and important roles will assist us in delivering WAIO’s security services across our operations and villages.

As a Security Supervisor with BHP, you will be working in a dynamic and demanding environment, which will come with its own unique challenges. Above all, you will foster a culture of care for our people and support the development and growth of our teams in order to provide the best possible service delivery to the teams we support

Reporting to the Superintendent Security, this is an exciting time to join a team that will facilitate great Security Management outcomes through your leadership, coaching, direction and expert advice. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver excellence in Security Management and continuous improvement in the delivery of Security Response capability through interfacing with colleagues and customers.

We have permanent and fixed term opportunities available on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth. Flexible work options will be considered.

You will be required to:

  • Execute WAIO’s Security Management strategic direction
  • Lead and manage our security officers across multiple locations
  • Resource and maintain an effective Security Response capability for operations and accommodation areas aligned with the Security Management Plan and Security Response control design
  • Build security capability within your team environment
  • Maintain security reporting, execute data integrity and governance activities
  • Manage the approvals & release of all security footage & data on request

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis / Management or equivalent
  • Operational security experience, preferably in the mining and oil & gas, military or similar industry.
  • Proven experience in managing security delivery programs within large organisations/ corporations
  • Experience in leading large teams.
  • Commitment to supporting the growth of individuals
  • Experience engaging and managing a broad stakeholder group
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent understanding of security regulatory environment.
