The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial control, and supporting business performance across our Australian operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role leads core accounting processes and provides oversight and review of financial outputs to ensure integrity, compliance, and alignment with Group standards. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, particularly across overhead cost centres, whilst championing disciplined financial management, timely reporting, and continuous improvement of finance processes. This role will be based at our Hazelmere office.

Day to day responsibilities will include: 

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger through strong controls, reconciliations, and review processes
• Develop and maintain financial models, including 3-way models (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), to support planning and decision making
• Communicate financial results clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and data quality
• Lead and manage a team of 3 finance staff, providing guidance, review, and development support.

About You:

You are a CA or CPA‑qualified Accountant (ideally within the mining industry) with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience and a proven ability to maintain robust financial controls. You have experience supporting forecasting, cost control, and financial modelling in a dynamic environment, and enjoy driving process improvements and automation.

You are a confident communicator who can engage with operations and non‑financial stakeholders, you bring strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, advanced Excel capability and experience working with ERP systems (including Pronto), along with a continuous improvement mindset.
