About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Adviser Data & Analytics to support the migration of business data from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA as part of Rio Tinto's global Modern ERP program.

  • Investigate migration and reconciliation issues, performing root cause analysis and supporting issue resolution.

  • Support mock migrations, testing cycles and deployment activities across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production release events.

  • Contribute to cutover planning, deployment readiness and post-migration validation activities.

  • Partner with business, functional and technical teams to continuously improve migration processes, governance and data quality outcomes.

What you'll bring

  • Experience delivering data migration activities within large-scale SAP or ERP transformation programs.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise data structures, master data, transactional data and data quality principles.

  • Experience performing data validation, reconciliation and migration testing activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex data issues and identify practical solutions.

  • Experience interpreting data mappings, transformation logic, business rules and migration requirements.

  • SQL skills and experience querying and validating data across relational databases.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across business and technical teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation, governance and quality assurance.

Desirable

  • SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience.

  • Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, DMLT or similar migration tools.

  • Exposure to one or more SAP functional domains such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Projects, Human Resources or Asset Management.

  • Experience supporting cutover planning and deployment activities.

  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management or master data management practices.

  • Experience working within mining, resources or other large, complex organisations.

What We Offer

  • Attractive compensation that is aligned to the specialist nature and impact of the role.

  • Flexible working arrangements.

  • A safety-focused and inclusive working environment.

  • Career development to further your ambitions.

  • Ongoing individual wellbeing support.

  • Flexible working arrangements.

  • Be part of Rio Tinto’s global transformation, contributing directly to one of the organisation’s most significant multi‑year programs.

  • High‑impact contract role where your expertise helps shape the future of Planning & Reporting across a global enterprise.
