About the role
We are looking for a Senior Advisor Agreement Implementation to prepare the business to implement modernised agreements once negotiated and support a leading-practice approach to engagement delivery. Reporting to the Principal Programme Governance & Compliance, you will lead change management, readiness and transition activities that help teams understand, adopt and sustain agreement commitments.
Working across the Traditional Owner Partnerships programme and with operational and functional stakeholders, you will translate agreement requirements into practical change plans, communications, training and business-as-usual processes. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting strategy with delivery and building trusted relationships across a complex organisation.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Principal Programme Governance & Compliance and working across the Traditional Owner Partnerships programme, you will be:
• Leading the management of change process for modernised agreement terms, from strategy and planning through to implementation and sustainability.
• Coordinating change impact assessments across roles, processes and systems, and addressing areas of concern through practical mitigation plans.
• Conducting change readiness assessments to support informed implementation decisions and successful adoption.
• Developing communication and engagement approaches that align leaders and employees to the strategic narrative.
• Creating transition plans that embed change and support an effective handover into business-as-usual operations.
• Embedding change consistently with Traditional Owner context, the Rio Tinto Communities and Social Performance Standard, and relevant risks and regulations.
• Providing technical advice on agreement and commitment implementation, including delivery of the partnership and agreement modernisation work plan and leading-practice roadmap.
• Building productive relationships with Traditional Owner governance organisations, regional implementation committees, technical advisory bodies and internal programme partners.

Required for Success
• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• Demonstrated experience operationalising change in complex, multi-stream programmes, ideally involving regulatory, process or business transformation.
• Working knowledge of change management methodologies, stakeholder engagement practices and change readiness assessment.
• Experience managing projects across multiple teams, including planning, coordination, implementation and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop communication and training content for varied audiences and facilitate productive stakeholder discussions.
• A tertiary qualification in business, human resources, psychology, communication or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Helpful for Success
• Experience working with Traditional Owner organisations, agreement implementation, community partnerships or governance frameworks.
• Experience in mining, resources, government or another complex and highly regulated environment.
• Experience analysing social and economic impacts, opportunities and implementation risks.
