We have an excellent opportunity for an Asset Management Senior Advisor to join our Asset Management Process Assurance team in Perth.
Within the Asset Management and Engineering Services (AMES) division, our AM Process Assurance team provides governance and assurance of core AM processes across Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) mines, rail and ports and influences strategic priorities for AM improvement and capability development. The team also verifies the effectiveness of controls to optimise asset performance and minimise asset risk. Partnering with operations the team works to build networks that enable continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Principal Asset Risk and Assurance, and working in a collaborative environment, you will:
- Lead the implementation of the asset integrity risk assessment process
- Support the deployment of the first line assurance and critical risk assessment process
- Promote a consistent, consolidated outlook on asset management process gaps and risk across RTIO
- Use your operational knowledge to develop and apply continuous improvement of the RTIO Assurance program
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a relevant field
- Knowledge of asset management processes and framework, asset assurance principals and a broad practical knowledge of mining assets.
- Analytically minded with the ability to review current processes and provide valuable insight and recommendations for improved performance.
- Prior experience in the leading programs of work with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaboratively with various internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated experience in life cycle asset management principals will enable you to convert technical knowledge into practical instruction.
- Strong computer skills - PowerBI and RSA Archer will be well regarded.

This position is based at our Perth Operations Centre near the domestic airport, with regular travel to the iron ore operations in the Pilbara and the Perth CBD.
