We are seeking a passionate commercial or closure practitioner to manage RTIO’s rehabilitation and closure liabilities and risks, in the role of Senior Advisor Closure Governance.
With high visibility across our senior leadership teams, this is an exciting opportunity to build a positive legacy for RTIO in the field of rehabilitation and closure.
Reporting to the Principal Advisor Closure Governance, you will:
- Lead closure provisioning and cost estimation activities for RTIO, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Mature RTIO’s assessment and management of closure liabilities and risks.
- Deliver initiatives to implement RTIO’s closure strategy.
- Effectively coordinate and influence a multidisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, to deliver key packages of work.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Strong commercial acumen, with knowledge of financial analysis and cost estimation methodologies highly advantageous.
- Experience in rehabilitation, closure and/or finance related disciplines.
- Strategic, forward-thinking competencies and demonstrated ability to deliver business improvement.
- Strong partnering skills and ability to influence multiple levels of leadership.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Environmental or Mining related fields.
- Be a self-starter with a passion to drive change and deliver outcomes.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Experience coordinating internal or external business audits.
- A solid understanding of mine planning processes.
- Project management experience with exposure to change management.

The Rehabilitation and Closure team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules.
