Senior Advisor Company Secretariat

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday - Friday 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Assist with the establishment and dissolution of Fortescue’s Australian and international subsidiaries, including seeking local advice, obtaining internal approvals, preparation of establishment documents, facilitating execution and apostilling documentation.
  • Manage ongoing compliance in foreign jurisdictions.
  • Coordinating the preparation of key subsidiary company documents, including minutes, board resolutions, registers and powers of attorney.
  • Assist with the provision of company secretarial services for Joint Ventures and other governing bodies (preparations of agendas, minutes and resolutions).
  • Collaborate with personnel across Legal, Finance, Treasury and Operations to understand specific requirements for each jurisdiction and delivery of timely outcomes.
  • Champion a newly adopted entity management system, ensuring records are up to date and providing training to other Fortescue personnel.
  • Ensuring company registries are kept up to date with relevant information.
  • Assist with business integrity training and reviews, including privacy and competition law.

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification in law.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Maturity, attention-to-detail and a desire to learn will see you succeed in this position.
  • Adaptable stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to appropriately manage workload.
