We are seeking a passionate and engaging Senior Advisor, Controllership in the WA Operations Controllership finance team.

Reporting to the Manager, Controllership Dampier/Argyle Winnu & RTIO Reporting, you will be responsible for Pilbara and Iron Ore management reporting and the Product Groups submissions to Group.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of month end reports and analysis, including Iron Ore Dashboards containing key financial metrics, analysis of variance to Plan, YoY and forecast.
  • Submission of HFM webforms for Group reporting detailing variances against Plan and YoY.
  • Additional quarterly reporting to Group including reporting Iron Ore physicals.
  • Assisting with year end and half year reporting requirements
  • Submission & review of Management Information System data for Rio Tinto Iron Ore
  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders within Iron Ore PG and Commercial.
  • Looking at improvements through modelling
  • Managing implementation of new Group reporting requirements for all Iron Ore Business units
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests

About you:

  • A qualified accountant (CA or CPA)
  • Excellent team player, ability to multi-task and committed to delivering on-time and quality work under set deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills (essential) HFM & SAP (preferred)
  • Sound technical accounting skills
  • Ability to make connections between business activities and financial information to provide insightful analysis and identify technical accounting issues.
  • Developed business acumen, proactive nature and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Based at our Perth Hub, in Perth’s CBD. Our team offers flexibility in terms of hours and work location with minimal adhoc travel to site if required.
