About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic problem solver to join the Rio Tinto Iron Ore team in the Specialist Advisor Core Processes role.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work Monday to Friday based in Perth which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Principal Integrated Knowledge, you will
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their current processes, partnering with other teams where required.
- Implement SIPOC methodology to identify business process workflows, involving key personnel, information, and technology.
- Conduct process modelling (BPMN-Design) to depict "as is" business processes.
- Employ RACI framework to define roles and responsibilities within the processes and replay gathered information to ensure accurate understanding.
- Participate in process improvement efforts (BPMN-Redesign) to develop "to be" business processes.
- Capture both “as is” and “to be” processes in Orbus Infinity as the repository.
- Provide guidance and training to colleagues on process mapping, standardisation and improvement.
- Facilitating workshops to map processes
What you’ll bring
- Experience and Knowledge: Proficient in SIPOC, RACI, and process mapping methodologies e.g.
- BPMN 2.0.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to
- Communication Excellence: Effective communicator with all business levels.
- Training Expertise: Skilled in training colleagues on process mapping and
- Leadership: Ability to drive standardization initiatives and lead teams towards goals.
- Technical Proficiency: Background in data analysis or systems.

Where you’ll be workingThis role is based in Perth,at our head office in Central Park, and working Monday to Friday. For site diagnostics,training and other tasks, you will be required to travel to the Pilbara to support our teams on an asrequired basis.In the Pilbara region ofWestern Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integratednetwork of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700-kilometre rail network andrelated infrastructure –all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.
