About the role
We are looking for a Senior Advisor – Development and Communications to join our global team at our Brisbane hub until the 16th of December.
The purpose of this role is to design, deliver, and continuously improve global Early Talent programs that attract, develop, and retain high-potential graduate and intern talent. This role serves as the driving force behind our graduate development activities and internship experiences, ensuring they are innovative, impactful, and aligned with our business goals and culture.
Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of development initiatives, manage key communications, and ensure the brand presence of the Early Talent team is engaging and consistent across platforms. The role will also focus on evaluating program effectiveness through KPIs and benchmarking, while fostering a culture of creativity, adaptability, and continuous learning
Reporting to the Early Talent Manager, and working in a collaborative global community within Talent, Human Resources, you will be responsible for delivering the Graduate Development program and the communication strategy for the Early Talent team- some accountabilities will include
Project Manage the delivery of graduate development activities
Design and Implement intern student program across the globe
Own and deliver the comms plan for the Early Talent team
Responsible of our internal Element page and Rio Tinto websites
Create an engaging and creative approach to deliver graduate development activities and events
Manage providers contracts
Benchmark our competitors Early Talent programs
KPI development and tracking
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Previous experience in delivery of Global Programs
Be an effective team member, capable of building positive working relationships and contributing to shared goal
Strong abilities to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and work cross functionally with the greater Talent Acquisition and people experience teams.
A pragmatic thinker with a one global team mindset who can create practical solutions tailored for a global business
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrixed organization.
Ability to analyse complex data and provide actionable insights.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
Ability to think strategically and align local practices with global principles.
