Senior Advisor ESPS Digital Transformation - Atlantic

- The role for 12 months secondment or fixed term
About the role
This role will be working alongside with the Modern ERP team, Reward team and others to perform
Local Compensation Review, Global Leave Policy Review, Time and Pay Strategy Review and end to end Time and Pay Process Diagnostic.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assessment and documentation of current state (across people, process, tech and data)
- Identify key pain points and challenges with current landscape & drivers for manual workarounds or lack of standardisation in organisation
- Define business requirements and solutioning for target state, including a hypothesis future technology landscape e.g. what is in Workday, WFS and RTBS or other existing and new systems
- Define target state Operating Model/Service Delivery Model
- Prepare business case to define the potential benefits vs. cost of proposed future state.
- Work with stakeholders from other in-flight programs to identify key dependencies, impacts of design choices & best sequencing for execution
- Prepare strategy paper and roadmap
- Engage SMEs from the broader business as and when needed for input
- Support project governance forum and reporting
Required Skills:
- Subject matter expertise in end to end Payroll and Time processes and broad knowledge across the end-to-end HR processes to support end to end payroll and Time process, including Time & Attendance, Workforce Scheduling & Management, understanding of local complexities of compensation types and eligibility, understanding of interdependencies between compensation for employees and payroll, etc
- Strong experience in process design and process improvement including process simplification/ standardization and process documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communications and collaborators
- Pragmatic and open to new approaches
- Considers what’s best for Rio Tinto
- Ability to think strategically at an operating model level as well as at a detailed process specific level
- Knowledge of role design / segregation of duties and internal control requirements
Where you will be working
This role will be part of the Group Services team. The role will require close partnership and alignment with Group Services - ESPS (Employee Support and Payroll Services), HR, Finance, IS&T and other GPOs (Global Process Owners).
