We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Executive Reward based in Perth or Brisbane, who will support the critical delivery of the executive reward programme. This role is a great opportunity to join a global team of diverse and specialised reward experts and deepen your exposure and experience in delivering reward solutions at the executive level. Reporting to the Manager Executive Reward, you will be involved with the following:

  • Deliver end-to-end effective case management support for the Rio Tinto Leadership Team (RTLT).
  • Support annual reward programs and processes for the RTLT population.
  • Manage and consult on reward programmes for the RTLT to ensure the effective deployment of reward policies and practices, including compliance with the legislative, governance and other compliance requirements.
  • Provide the business guidance on reward governance processes.
  • Operate in accordance with the appropriate People related policy principles and frameworks.
  • Develop and manage relationships with People senior leaders in respect of service delivery for the RTLT population.
  • Work in partnership with the Area of Expertise functions across Employee Remuneration, Benefits, Share Plans, Global Mobility and Talent, with a view to enable an integrated People function, which delivers efficiencies and value to the business.
  • Maintain strong partnership with vendors and service partners, monitor and audit the performance of service providers.
  • Contribute and participate in ad-hoc reward projects as directed.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Business partnership acumen and good internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Good communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A values and purpose driven mindset, and demonstrate our Company values of care, curiosity, and courage in everything you do.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience in Human Resources and Reward.

About the team

This role is part of the Executive Reward team within the People function, and you will be part of a large global organisation with many opportunities for growth and development. The Executive Reward team is responsible for the design and delivery of reward solutions for the Group’s Executive Committee and Rio Tinto Leadership Team, and offers global expertise in areas of remuneration, global mobility, benefits and share plans.

Where you'll be working

This role can based in either the Perth or Brisbane CBD offices with flexible working arrangements available. The role works across a global function and this may require availability outside standard working hours.
