About the role
We are looking for a Development & Technology Finance Business Partner to support senior leaders and their leadership teams within the Development & Technology portfolio. The role requires strong analytical support and a sophisticated ability to influence and drive change. The breadth and level of the critical relationships requires significant stakeholder management and attention to detail.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional with the passion and desire to drive the financial planning and support the performance of a large business, with proven engagement and influencing skills, along with a highly demonstrated ability to conduct financial analysis and planning processes. As well as having a strong track record of identifying opportunities and delivering results effectively.

Partner with stakeholders to proactively drive financial analysis and cost discipline and influence outcomes through providing a decision framework supported by insightful and accurate analysis.
Build rapport with a variety of stakeholders - with a strong focus on Group Technical, Major Projects and Research & Development - and across Finance including Controllership, Treasury, Tax and Risk.
Co-ordinate the development of our annual and long term planning processes, and drive improved business performance through highly effective forward plans.
Demonstrate financial and accounting expertise, and drive a step change in cost discipline and leadership across the cost centre owners in the areas you support.
Provide business (including senior management) with relevant, detailed, accurate and timely financial analysis, studies and counsel to influence and shape financial strategy, analysis and market insight.
Understand performance to identify improvement opportunities, and support the business in developing high value initiatives to optimize business outcomes.
Leverage technology to provide insightful advice and identify new improvement opportunities and improve processes within the team and business.
Ensure governance and compliance through effective application of financial controls and risk management.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Bachelor and/or professional qualification MBA, ACA, CPA
5 years + finance experience within a complex global organisation
A team player with strong communication, influence and engagement skills at all levels
Strong Analytical capability and a strategic mindset
Genuine curiosity and continuous improvement mindset focused on solving problems and value creation with evidence of identifying and mitigating risks
Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including a background in influencing and working with diverse teams in a matrix model
Expertise across a full range of standard business, finance and presentation toolkits (SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, etc.) and an aptitude for identifying technology based solutions to enable increased efficiency and performance improvement.
Maturity to work autonomously with minimal guidance.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Experience working within support environments and understanding the processes, risks and challenges of support groups
Where you will be working
The Development & Technology FBP team forms part of the wider Business & Technology Services Group, led by the Group CFO. With a breadth of scope that covers project development and technical excellence, mergers & acquisition, business development and all the functions that are necessary to run our business. You will be working closely with your direct manager in the Perth Hub, and remotely with the rest of the FBP team (based in multiple locations with concentrations in Brisbane & Montreal hubs).
