Senior Advisor - HSEQ

Macmahon’s Civil East group (formally TMM Group), is currently seeking an experienced Senior Advisor - HSEQ to join the Brisbane team to help delivery, design and construction services to the resource, mining, energy and infrastructure industries across Australia.

The purpose of this role is to provide a central point of contact for all HSEQ related matters. Implementation and compliance to the Macmahon HSEQ Management Plan, policies, procedures and providing departments with associated advice. Managing the daily HSEQ requirements and reporting to the HSEQ Superintendent on department risk, issues and achievements. 

Travel to all TMM/Civil East sites is a requirement of this position.

About You:

  • Recognised qualification in HSE/WHS (minimum Diploma)
  • Formal incident investigation qualification (ICAM preferred)
  • Current unencumbered Drivers licence (C Class minimum)
  • At least 5 years successful HSE experience 
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential along with good computing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication techniques
  • First Aid qualifications
  • Previous experience in the Mining Industry and / or industry equivalent
  • Previous Occupational Safety, Health and Training experience
  • Understanding of company reporting procedures
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental issues
  • Experience with safety reporting systems (INX preferred)
  • Trustworthy and capable of maintaining confidential and sensitive information
  • Computer literate in Macmahon standard packages (Excel, Word, Power Point, MDL etc)
