About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Senior Advisor, Partnerships to join the Iron Ore Digital division, which brings together digital priorities from across our Iron Ore business. The purpose of this role is to support and lead how the Iron Ore Digital division engages effectively with internal and external partners to ensure sustainable value is created within our operations.
This hands-on role will provide you with the opportunity to realise visionary work, exposing you to new and upcoming technologies, as well as helping shape digital in Rio Tinto Iron Ore.
Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio and Governance you will:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Iron Ore Digital stakeholders
Act as a conduit between Iron Ore Digital and internal interfaces, including group technology
Champion collaboration between Iron Ore Digital and other departments to embed effective ways of working
Contribute towards the development and operationalization of Iron Ore Digital Strategy
Clearly communicate the purpose, narrative and value of Iron Ore Digital to other departments and leadership
Establish and administer a communication strategy for the RTIO Digital Division
Provide support to the GM Digital for communication requirements as required, including executive reporting
Work with the Portfolio and Governance team to achieve team goals and aligned outcomes
Facilitate and support workshops for Iron Ore Digital leaders as required
Actively challenge the status quo and strive to improve existing processes and systems
Continuously evaluate and improve effectiveness of the Iron Ore Digital division.
What you will bring
A tertiary qualification in either a commercial or technical field
Relevant experience in communications or change management
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills – including experience in executive briefing under time pressure
Be able to build and work on existing relationships
Strong stakeholder influencing skills
Ability to drive key activities across the various parts of the Rio Tinto Iron Ore group
Ability to drive independent thought and be able to link activities with the productivity agenda
Maturity – take ownership for own performance and decisions and their impact on the business
Understanding of how portfolios and delivery team's interface

Where you'll be working
This role is based in Perth, at our head office in Central Park, and working Monday to Friday.
