About the role

We are looking for Senior Advisor – People Planning to lead and coordinate all the people reporting, analytics and planning activities for RTA and RTA Pacific Operations. The role is critical for developing, executing and governing key people processes including all HR cyclical and strategic priorities (talent, employee engagement, remuneration, headcount planning, respectful behaviours, inclusion and diversity). The role is also crucial for MPR reporting and data analysis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong data analytics and reporting capability and would like to branch out into HR, or a HR practitioner with strong reporting and analytics capability who is a strong communicator with exceptional influencing skills and planning capability.

Reporting to the Manager – People, Performance and Strategy and working in a collaborative community, you will:

  • Schedule, govern and manage the RTA people priority plan;
  • Undertake monthly reporting on HR metrics and people plan priorities
  • Build and manage continuous improvement opportunities aligned with our HR function;
  • Project manage the associated people cycle activities with a consolidated Business Unit overview;
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure awareness, understanding and engagement of how the end to end people cycle activity works, actions required and associated timeframes;
  • Manage the co-ordination and development of communication packages to all key stakeholders including internal HR team and RTA senior leadership team;
  • Clarify accountabilities between RHRO and HRBP (plus other partners). This includes looking at the holistic lifecycle - strategy, tactics and handover points;
  • Coordinate the delivery of change management activities through planning and implementation of a project or program;
  • Act as a key point of contact for the team and the CoE/RHRO on people planning and functional activities;
  • Keep abreast of best practice methodology and central resource tools and templates, utilises it in work activities and promotes its use within RTA;
  • Partner with project teams to capture and share lessons learnt from the implemented projects;

What you will bring

  • Human Resources qualification is desirable but not necessary
  • Very strong data analytics and reporting skillset
  • Demonstrated experience at program communication and change level
  • Ability to deliver sustaining systems and processes through effective implementation plans
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
