We are looking for a Senior Advisor - Planning & Corporate,to support the Functions senior leaders and their leadership teams. The role requires strong analytical support and a sophisticated ability to influence and drive change. The breadth and level of the critical relationships requires deep experience and capability.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional with the passion and desire to drive the financial planning and support the performance of a large business, with proven engagement and influence skills and highly demonstrated ability to run financial analysis and planning processes and to identify opportunities and deliver results.
In this role, you will:

- Partner with stakeholders to proactively drive financial analysis and cost discipline and influence outcomes through providing a decision framework supported by insightful and accurate analysis.
- Build rapport with a variety of stakeholders across Functions and Group Finance including and not limited to Controllership, Treasury, Tax and Risk
- Lead the development of rigorous planning and drive improved business performance through highly effective forward plans.
- Develop financial understanding and drive a step change in cost discipline and leadership across the cost centre owners in the areas you support.
- Provide business (including senior management) with relevant, detailed, accurate and timely financial analysis, studies and counsel to influence and shape financial strategy, analysis and market insight.
- Understand performance to identify improvement opportunities and support the business in developing high value initiatives to optimize business outcomes.
- Leverage technology to provide insightful advice and identify new improvement opportunities and improve processes within the team and business.
- Ensure governance and compliance through effective application of financial controls and risk management.
What you will bring
- Bachelor and/or professional qualification MBA, ACA, CPA
- 5 years + finance experience within a complex global organisation
- A team player with strong communication, influence, and engagement skills at all levels
- Analytical and forward-thinking competencies
- Genuine curiosity and continuous improvement mindset focused on solving problems and value creation with evidence of identifying and mitigating risks
- Strong background of influencing and working with diverse teams in matrix model
- Expertise across a full range of standard business, finance and presentation toolkits (SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, etc.) and an aptitude for identifying technology-based solutions to enable increased efficiency and performance improvement
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance

Where you will be working
The Business & Technology Support FBP team reports through to the Group CFO and supports Development & Technology and Central Functions including IS&T, Finance, Legal, Governance, Communications & External Affairs, Human Resources, CEO Australia. With a breadth of scope that covers exploration, project development and technical excellence, mergers & acquisition, business development through to closure; and all the functions that are necessary to run our business. You will be working closely with your direct manager in Brisbane and remotely with the rest of the FBP team and your stakeholders (based in multiple locations with concentrations in Brisbane, Perth & Montreal hubs).
