About The Role
All progress begins with pioneers. At Rio Tinto, it begins with you. We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Strategy and Services to join the Sustaining Capital division on either a full-time basis or job share arrangement.
Reporting to the General Manager in collaboration with your job share partner you will be responsible for Leading the Services & Strategy team to support Sustaining Capital to drive and implement annual strategic plans.
Key duties include
- Support the General Manager to prepare and drive execution of the divisional strategic plan
- Coordinate Quarterly, Monthly and Weekly leadership meetings including preparation of agendas, presentations, determining key topics and reporting information
- Act as a trusted partner in the leadership team, providing support and strategic guidance
- Coordinate divisional risk governance activities and maintain the coordination of the divisional risk champion network
- Interpret internal drivers to inform strategic thinking and the evaluation and prioritisation of initiatives such as the annual Priority Program
- Maintain governance of Priority Program work to ensure consistent approach and effective reporting.
- Support the Strategy and Services team to provide guidance in the progress of Priority Program initiatives
- Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive change in behaviours, practices and processes
About You

You will have:

- Experience in process improvement, project leadership, change management, stakeholder engagement or similar
- Highly effective leadership, organisational, time management and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a high-pace role, managing deliverables and stakeholders whilst maintaining autonomy and self-motivation
- Experience managing risk or partaking in risk coordination
- Proven communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate and manage stakeholder relationships within a large complex organisation
- Demonstrated curiosity and drive for thinking differently, with an ability to identify and effectively navigate obstacles or roadblocks and respectfully challenge
- Passion to adopt and champion continuous improvement in all that you do

Where you will be working
In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, we own an integrated portfolio of iron ore assets: a world-class, integrated network of 16 mines, four independent port terminals, a 1,700 kilometre rail network and related infrastructure – all designed to respond rapidly to changes in demand.
We are one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of iron ore.
This role will be based at our Central Park office based in the Perth CBD.
