About the Role 

The Senior Business Analyst provides high level analytical, commercial and operational insight to support the performance, reliability and cost efficiency of our Plant. The position is accountable for transforming operational data into actionable intelligence, improving cost transparency and ensuring the Plant meets production, cost and reliability targets. 

Responsibilities

• Analyse plant performance metrics (throughput, downtime, utilisation, maintenance KPIs) to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
• Lead cost analysis for maintenance, shutdowns, labour, contractors and consumables
• Develop and maintain cost models, forecasts and budgets for the Plant Department
• Provide variance analysis and monthly reporting to senior leadership
• Evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions, maintenance strategies and capital projects
• Improve system utilisation and support digital transformation initiatives
• Develop user-friendly tools and templates for operational teams

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Over 5 years’ experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or operational analytics
• Experience in mining, resources, heavy industry, or large-scale processing plants
• Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and BI tools (Power BI preferred)
• Experience with maintenance or production systems (SAP, AMT or other)
• Experience in mobile plant operations (desirable)

Role Details

• Location: Macmahon Corporate Office, Perth Airport (near T2)
• Roster: 5/2 with occasional travel to projects
