Senior Buyer

Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Batu-Hijau expansion team. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this opportunity would suit an experienced project procurement professional.
The role will be offered as a 6 month contract to start. There is the option to be based either in Perth or Brisbane.
The role
- End to end procurement package management (compile bid list, develop RFP package, expedite engineering deliverables, issue tenders, manage addendums, close/open bids, commercial evaluation, draft award documentation, draft and conform contracts, coordinate kick-off and progress meetings, manage insurance and securities, process payments and variation claims
- Contracts administration
- Coordination of support services including expediting, inspection, transport and logistics
- Weekly and monthly reporting
- Resolution of any issues or complaints with prompt escalation as required
The ideal candidate
- 7 yrs experience as a Senior Buyer
- Demonstrable record of successful procurement package management
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and balance multiple project requirements
- Detail oriented, schedule focused
- Experience with Aconex and Sharepoint
- MatMan knowledge advantageous
