Senior Management Accountant - Decarbonisation

Work Location: Fortescue Centre & Bennett St. Fortescue’s Perth offices are located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday - Friday

This is an exciting opportunity to join Fortescue's Decarbonisation journey in this newly created position within the Corporate Finance team at FMG, with daily responsibility for the finance deliverables within Fortescue's Decarbonisation project.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivery of month end close including accruals management, correct cost capture and cost allocation
• Delivery of monthly cost reporting and cost driver analysis for numerous stakeholders
• Regular stakeholder engagement across the full program to ensure alignment between actuals to forecast reporting
• Facilitating opex / capex decision making for forecasts, in line with accounting standards and internal policies
• Complete quarterly reforecasting process and ensure alignment with various business stakeholders
• Provide support and business partnering for Decarbonisation team
• Facilitating good financial governance over cost centre structuring, data capture and reporting
• Identifying and implementing areas requiring business process improvement
• Adhoc financial analysis and reconciliations as requested

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of post-qualification accounting experience 
• Accounting or business related undergraduate degree
• CA/CPA qualified
• SAP/S4 Hana experience essential
• Mining industry experience desirable 
• Ability to work in a fast paced evolving project environment
