Senior Commercial Advisor / Specialist

Work Location: Brisbane, Melbourne, OR Sydney

Roster: Monday to Friday

The position will support and manage business development, partnerships/joint ventures and transaction execution across key projects within the FFI Australia East and New Zealand Region.

The position is responsible for delivering strategic and commercial outcomes to create and capture opportunities for FFI to expand in the Australia East and New Zealand Region.

Key accountabilities will include:

Leading small to medium value and supporting high value business development, negotiation of short and long form arrangements and commercial execution of opportunities across the Australia East and New Zealand Region.

Development of strong internal and external relationship across a wide range of disciplines and with senior management and executives.

Ensure holistic, accurate and robust commercial insights are provided for decision making.

Preparation of presentations (including recommendations), business cases and supporting analysis to communicate the commercial position to senior management and executives.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (commerce, economics, engineering, law or science).
  • Significant commercial experience.
  • Business development, commercial negotiations, or transactional experience preferably in either legal practice, investment bank, top tier accounting firm or corporate within renewables, energy, resources, heavy industry, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience in leading partnering or joint venture relationships.
  • Exposure to energy sales or purchase arrangements.
  • Positive and proactive attitude in addressing and resolving issues.
  • Resilient and self-managing with the ability to work autonomously, take initiative and reliably deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Supports the vision of FFI and can demonstrate alignment with our Values.
